🎥How to Bypass Microsoft Account Sign-In on Windows 11 Setup (Use Local Account Instead)
Intro:
Hey everyone!
In this video, I’ll show you a simple trick to bypass the Microsoft Account sign-in requirement during the Windows 11 setup — and create a local account instead.
This is super useful if you don’t want to connect to the internet or use a Microsoft account.
Let’s jump right in!
Step 1: Start Windows 11 Setup
Boot into the Windows 11 installation — either from a USB or ISO.
Proceed through the initial steps:
- Choose your language and region
- Click Next
- Click Install Now
Continue until you reach the “Let’s connect you to a network” or “Sign in with Microsoft” screen.
Step 2: Press Shift + F10 to Open Command Prompt
At the Microsoft sign-in screen, press:
Shift + F10
This will open a Command Prompt window.
Step 3: Run the Local Account Bypass Command
Now in Command Prompt, type:
start ms-cxh:localonly
Then press Enter.
Wait a few seconds — the Microsoft Account screen will close and you’ll be redirected to the Create a Local Account screen.
Step 4: Create Your Local User
Now you’ll see a screen asking for:
- Your local username
- Password (optional)
Fill in your details and click Next.
That’s it — you’ve created a local account and skipped the Microsoft sign-in!
Optional: No Internet Required
If you’re doing a fresh install and don’t want to deal with Microsoft sign-in prompts at all, just disconnect from the internet before setup — and Windows will often default to a local account creation flow.
But in newer builds, this trick with ms-cxh:localonly works even when you’re connected.
